G'day everyone. I'm new to the world of online auctions for vehicles and thinking about having a crack with Heavy Thing. I've been eyeing off a few utes on their site, heavything.com, particularly some Ford Rangers and Toyota Hilux models. Prices seem pretty decent compared to what I've seen at other dealers, especially for repo vehicles. I'm a bit nervous about the 'sight unseen' bit, even with their inspection reports and the 10-day inspection period after delivery. Has anyone here gone through the process with Heavy Thing, especially with interstate delivery? I'm down in regional NSW, so it's a bit of a trek from Brisbane. How was the Sales Agent communication throughout? Did the vehicle description and multi-point inspection report stack up when it arrived? Any insights into the deposit process and the overall handover would be bloody helpful before I commit to a bid. Cheers!

G'day mate! I snagged a pretty decent Ford Ranger ute from Heavy Thing a few months back. The sales agent was spot on with communication, guided me through the deposit, and the rig arrived in regional NSW without a hitch. Keen to see what others reckon!

Thinking about bidding on a family wagon through them, located in Brisbane. How accurate was the multi-point inspection report to the actual vehicle condition on arrival? That 10-day inspection period sounds good, but still a bit nervous about buying sight-unseen.

I got an older Holden Commodore from heavything.com for about $18K. The condition was fair dinkum, exactly as described in the report. The agent made the title transfer super easy too, which was a relief.

Won an auction for a Toyota Prado 4x4, deposit paid promptly. Delivery to VIC was quicker than I expected. The inspection report for mine was bang on, no nasty surprises. Definitely a lot cheaper than the local dealerships were asking.

Anyone had to use the 10-day refund policy? Just curious how smooth that process was if the vehicle didn't match the description. I'm eyeing off an RV and want to know my options.

My experience with Heavy Thing Auction was pretty neutral. Bought a sedan for my daughter for around $15,000. It's a used car, so you expect a few minor things, but the report was mostly accurate. Don't go in expecting a brand new car, but for the price, it's alright.

I was sceptical about buying a boat online, but heavything.com had some good options. The deposit was easy, and it arrived in QLD perfectly. The inspection report made me feel a lot better about the whole deal.

Compared to other auctions I've checked out, Heavy Thing's process seemed a lot more transparent, especially with the agent guiding you. Looking at a D-Max, hoping for a similar smooth run as you folks seem to have had.

Just curious about the RWC. Is it always included for QLD vehicles, or do buyers need to sort that out themselves after delivery? Thinking of a machinery purchase, so different rules might apply.
